I spent 5 years with Pete Sewell at Wheelwright Grammar School in Dewsbury.
We were both learning the guitar from the day we met.
Pete went on to greater thngs and I did the semi-pro thing in the clubs and pubs of the area.
My first band was The Druyds, doing 60’s covers – the usual singer, 2 guitars, bass and drums.
I played rhythm, John Carey on bass, Chris Webster on drums and Andy Lucas singing.
All good fun and revelry. Parents drove us around.
My last band Mid-Life Crisis, ended last year Oct 2023 after 26 years together. Another guy from
Wheelwright, Keith Firth (footballer), was the rhythm guitarist, and died very suddenly, leaving
us no option to carry on.
I’ve just started playing with a trio called The Vinyl Years, a 60’s/70’s covers band.
Still enjoying everything musical – stay safe, Graham

Met John in 1987 at a factory in Toronto, instantly warming to a terrific human being, top electrician, teacher and gravedigger at one point he told me, we emigrated back to England, but I never forgot the positive impact he had on me, still missed

Pete Sewell will never be forgotten for drinking tea in his front room while he tried to teach me to play guitar.
And Gaz for being a great friend over the years, we will have a pint again soon with Andrew.
    Love you chaps ☺️☺️

Hi Guys, I hope this finds you all well. I was keyboard player with Solomons Mines from Liverpool. We were at the same gig in Streatham silver blades and recently I found your really interesting review of the day’s events which brought back lots of memories and coaxed me to do a google search and find this web site. It’s brilliant to know you kept things going right up till fairly recently and I wish you all the very best and thank you for reviving some memories.
    Best regards x

Hi I’ve been pointed in the direction of this page by Jebbs, he has put on some pictures of my dad (Roy Jagger Jaggsby) in the gallery section entitled The Royal Crowd. Unfortunately my dad passed away two months ago and he would have loved to have seen himself on the the “internet’s”!!

    1. Kenny Rooke, aka The Gnome,
